Inventory Clerk Position

Join our team at GNA Salon Services and get the rare opportunity to become a part of an established family business where we treat all employees like family.  We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to oversee the flow of product from warehouse to sales channel. You will be responsible for checking product quantity, pricing and accuracy. You will handle inventory counts, reorders and shipping in a safe and efficient manner.


 Job Responsibilities:


  • Ordering inventory from vendors and suppliers and securing shipment arrival times
  • Managing inventory by stocking and cataloging products for a business
  • Performing quality checks on stored inventory and discarding inventory that does not meet the company’s standards
  • Updating inventory count and maintaining inventory records to share with management and other stakeholders in the business
  • Reporting discrepancies in inventory
  • Researching the accuracy of product details and testing new products
  • Devising ways to optimize inventory control procedures
  • Ensure product stock is adequate for all distribution channels and can cover direct demand from customers
  • Record daily deliveries and shipments to reconcile inventory
  • Complete transactions in the inventory management and customer relationship software application (Quickbooks)
  • Answering incoming calls from prospective customers
  • Place orders to replenish stock avoiding insufficiencies or excessive surplus
  • Analyze data to anticipate future needs
  • Collaborate with sales people and other staff to ensure business goals are met
  • Report to upper management on stock levels, issues etc.
  • Does light housekeeping around the office
  • Decorates the windows for seasons and holidays
  • Take phone order and pack and ship via UPS


 [Work Hours & Benefits] Monday - Friday 9:00am- 5pm .  One day work at home may be available after 120 days of employment.


 Qualifications / Skills:

  •  Familiarity with office processes, including filing, handling mail and directing telephone calls
  • Computer literacy and facility with word processing, spreadsheets, data entry and basic accounting software
  • Accurate and efficient typing skills for data entry, drafting correspondence and other documents
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent customer service acumen
  • Attention to detail, solid organization and multi-tasking abilities
  • Maturity, integrity and willingness to learn
  • Proven experience as telemarketer or similar sales/customer service role
  • Working knowledge of relevant computer programs (e.g. CRM software) and telephone systems
  • Proficient in English
  • Skilled in negotiation and dealing with complaints
  • Persistent and results-oriented
  • Patient and able to handle customer rejection

  Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Proficient with office software
